Selling property without representation of a Realtor can be a lower cost and effective way to sell your property. People have bought and sold property without the benefit of a real estate professional, and had few problems. However, there are also some people that have bought and sold property and had many problems. Many problems occur due to not disclosing infomation properly and misrepresentation. If a Seller fails to disclose all the material facts concerning a property, and the Buyer does not perform their due diligence, there could be many problems. Some people have had successful transactions without using the services of a Realtor, but I would also stress that professional services from a Realtor can save time, money, and piece of mind in the long run.
